My husband pulls a '49 Wd Ac in the 3500#-4500# stock classes. Hasn't been having too hot of a year. I would like to get him bigger tires/rims for an anniversary present. I've priced them new (ouch!!) and would like to find a place in the North Western Pa/ohio area that might have them used. He wants 15.5 x 38 's if anyone has any recommendations.... Thanks

Honest opinion: Get a tractor that comes with those larger tires. You can get a JD, Farmall, MH, or other tractors than have OEM 38 tires - and the tractor itself won't cost much more then the tires and rims for your WD. And after you have this, you'll have a tractor that is more balanced. It is just easier to do things with something like that.

Putting 38 tires on a WD will screw up your gearing - you won't have enough power, even in first gear, to do a good job of pulling.
