The pull starts at 08:00 A.M. ! Not at 09:00 A.M.
Alot of people have called about this. The weather forcast is uncertain at this time. We will try to have the pull; unless we get a down poor.
Hope to see you all at the fair.

Dear Pullers,
Before the pull started, two tech. people, and myself went to Bill Bear and asked to see the motor. Bear did so with no problems, and told me just about everything I asked. The motor is not what everybody thinks it is. Thou it is trick. Somebody did their homework. Bear was told this: if someone protests-you cannot pull. Bear did not have a problem with that. Some of the board members talked with the guys pulling against Bear. They did not have a problem with him pulling. So thats what happened. Bear's tractor didn't run that good anyway because of the 15% rpm rule. As for me not having balls, I guess your right-I should of kick your tractor out for having a 265 cu. combine motor in a 230cu. model Wards. Funny how life works an't it. As to last year, I agree 100%. Infact I was mad about the hole deal. But, the Big Big, Fair Board is the one that said NO. If you want more info. let me know. Thanks!

If we have a protest, and it is a 361 or 407, or what every block-the way the Iowa State Fair rules read-NO! We might let him pull, but not for trophy. I like the guy, and I would like to see it pull, but rules are rules. This is not a NATPA pull- it is the Iowa State Fair Pull, again-with Iowa State Fair rules. Everybody that entered should of recieved a set of the rules. I don't want to be a a-hole about it, and it should not have to come to that, but it's not right to the guy that went by the RULES, and built a 460/560 or 301 replacement block. We'll have to deal with it, when the time comes.

YOU and the pull committee need to protect your pullers that come to this event looking for a pull of its lattitude (state fair) to enforce rules! It is obvious that this tractor is supoposed to be illegal with ALL the talk!! You along with your pull committee should examine this tractor BEFORE the pull! As you stated, why make legal 460's and other models run against it. Yes, he is a likeable guy, but take charge, or does he intimidate you??? End this nonsense once and for all! Your actions will help pullers be treated fair later(if it truly is illegal) or end their worries! Why put the pressure on other pullers? If this was "Joe Blow" and not Bill Bear, I bet you'd look at it! Again, please take charge! We'll await your decisions!!
