Good advice all the way round. I pull a stock AC WD and if the track is really hard I run around 3-4 if it's a good bighting track I go up from there. Keep good records (it will help). Sometimes you just have to guess!

There are a lot of factors to consider with tire pressure. Rim width, sidewall strength, weight class, wheel weights, clay track, sand track, etc.

I run 13.5 lbs in a set of 15.5's on 14" rims, and get a nice hole in 5500 with 2 sets of wheel weights. Flat, no easily discernible dish or cup on a power track.

With the tires you describe, I'd start at 8 and work my way around. Run the air pressure that gets you a nice flat hole when you pull out of them. Use 1/2 lb adjustments to fine tune. Take notes at each pull to refer back to, it helps.

Try going way lower than that. Go to 8 psi. If that doesn't scare you when you pull, try 6 the next pull. Yes, it makes a *big* difference on my tractor.

Hey Jimmy, How does the 70 pull? Is it gas? Ours is heading to her first NATPA pull tomorrow, she has done well in the local fair pulls, but the lack of rules there makes them no fun (we pull strictly Div. 1 with all of our tractors.) What classes do you pull it in? Thanks Pete
