All right deere pullers, eat your hearts out. Went to lunch friday with one of my deere pulling buddies. Low and behold if we didn't run into the jdchick on her lunch hour too. Even got to sit beside her. Surprisingly, I found her to be quite charming and very well behaved. Well maybe she did throw one chicken bone, but at least it wasn't at me. Of course I was on my best behavior too, and who wouldn't be when the whole table bleeds JD green. Nope she wasn't persuasive enough to convince me to switch brands, but did promise me the very first jdchick T shirt with her autograph. Now the old M does need a coat of wax, and I do need a clean rag...

Now, Flogger, just when I thought you were coming around, here you go and make a disparaging remark about my new line of T-shirts. However, I suppose I could forgive you since I will have to admit that your behavior at the lunch table was a pleasant surprise. You didn't even slobber on anybody or anything!! I know that Mrs. Flogger must have been working with you on your manners.
We'll keep working on you to try to get you to come around to our side. Oh, by the way, JDgrandpa says that he hasn't been fishing lately, and that he ought to know if anyone did.....he got kinda stirred up about that!!! LOL I just wish you had been there to catch that flak!!!

Can't say when I enjoyed a meal more, and naw I'd probably put that T shirt away. Destined to be a collector's item one day. Them John Deere folks will flat out, smack dab, buy some collectables. Wish I'd bought a few green tractors when they were selling for pennies per pound, course then I'd have collectors on my doorstep all the time.

Yes my queen has done a fine job of domesticating me. I haven't been poked in the ribs at the dinner table for 2 or 3 weeks now, and I still slobber less than her dog which puts me in pretty good shape I figure.

I think maybe the jdgrandpaw is pulling your leg. Seen him myself coming through town with cane poles, bait, and stopped at the store for some chewing tobaccer. Then headed south.

Well you have a nice week, try to hold it between the ditches.

But these conversations are so interesting G Taylor, lol. Apparently there isn't much else to do in that area, besides post on here to talk back and forth. I thought that was what email was for.

Yep, sounds like somebody's been in trouble before jdchick. I reckon we could get some secret emails and different names, but it'd make it a real pain in the a$$ for your mom and dad, uncles, buddies, and so on to read and reply to. I reckon from now on we'll just have to keep this thing more tractor pulling oriented. Say, what do you think about this Greg Tilley deal??? Couldn't resist it! Have a great weekend!

Welllll l...let's talk about tractors then. I heard that the reason you're not dragging your red machine to Woodleaf is that you know that the Rooster is not going to be there, and you just can't imagine a pull without him!! LoL Anyway, ya'll have a large time where you're going!

I think that they ought to leave poor Tilley alone. Sounds to me like he's trying to lend a hand when he can, but some people just don't appreciate it. If he helps someone get a better setup, then what's the harm? All these nay-sayers just need to chill out!!! ;)

JDChick, what tractors do you own or pull? I was just curious, as although there are more women getting into the antique tractor scene, it's still pretty rare to find one that's really into it. And it's a double bonus that you happen to like the right color of tractor.

Unfortunately, I don't have the honor of having my name on any titles, but my immediate family owns several JD's...various models and years...mostly restored and in pulling condition, and I claim all of them!! LoL

Now, there is one ole' oddball uncle who has bought some old junky red stuff in the past, but hopefully he's coming to his senses since he's got some green in his shed now. But then again, he married into the family, so we can't expect him to automatically bleed JD Green, even if the Rooster DID convert!!

Old junky red stuff? Come on now JDchick. You know better than that. Sounds like yall have one family member who has his head on straight, and that's no way to talk about your inheritance and dowry either. When does the new Fastline come out anyway?

Careful now, lol. I hated the green iron until I started work at the first JD dealer I worked for, and then I saw the light. I still have a soft spot in my heart for the red tractors, which I grew up on. The first tractor I ever drove was Grandpa's Farmall M at the tender age of 5 - it looked like the biggest tractor in the world sitting in that seat, lol. And the first lesson was keep your arms out of the center of the steering wheel when running the throttle, and keep your thumb on the right side of the crank when you're cranking it. The other day chopping silage, we had one 766, two 1086s, a JD 4560 and a 8450 all working together and they got along just fine, lol. My current Deere "stable" is rather small - a '48 "G" and a '55 "60". So, keep supporting the green iron - you'd better get one or ten all your own, lol.

Sounds like you're a smart man, working at a JD Dealership! Can you give me a discount? LoL...just kidding....

I remember back when I was just a little peepie and Grandpa would go out and start up one of the Johns to do some garden work...it was the loudest scariest thing I had ever heard, and I wouldn't even go out of the house when he was on the tractor. But now, hearing that distinctive sound is even better than hearing the significant other's Harley coming up the road!! LoL

Grandpa's got someone's red tractor stored in one of his barns right now, and it hasn't started any fights with the greens yet, so maybe there IS hope that we can all get along! ;)

Flogger, haven't had the honor of eatting with "the click" or "the chick." Proud to see that you were on your best behavior, bet it was tough. The closest I've been to the chick is in passing, boy she can't hold it in the road. Must be that "Intimidator Tag", I mean the intimidating tag she's scared of. Take care, hold it in the road.

Well, Mr. Swervin'.....I just have to say, that when I see an ugly 'ole pick-em-up truck coming at me on the road, and it's halfway-to-all the way on my side, I DO tend to swerve out of the way, especially when there's a poor misguided youngun such as yourself driving said truck. I hate that you got rid of your one good vehicle and replaced it with an import, but I thought there was hope for you since you do have some green in your shed. But those red ones just HAVE to GO!!!!! You know better than to expose those poor innocent children to substandard machinery like that. Oh, but wait a minute, I forgot...you're a chevy man....you're used to sub-standard machinery!!! Hehehehehehehehe
