Intake for exhaust

Can an intake valve be put in place of an exhaust valve.I'm talking about a JD G head.I know the seat would have to be made larger, but don't know if the heat would be to much for the intake valve. Anyone tried this.Thanks for any info. Ken

If your pullin it will be fine, it might not hold up farming.LW

I agree with LW. I use the same (type) of stainless steel valves for intake and exhausts, in all of the pulling tractors heads that I have built. I have never had a problem with any of them. In addition, some of these heads have been run as much as 5 years (as a pulling tractor!).
