Our club had a change in directorship lately and they came up with there own set of twisted rules. We sent around a petition and all but one pullers signed it that were not on the ruling board. We wanted to use NATPA rules for class 1, 2, and 3. They set a meeting for the next weekend to discuss the rules. At the meeting the director said the pullers did not know what they were signing and we would not go with NATPA rules. We had to discuus every rule one by one. Did not get the rules we wanted and they even changed the rules after the meeting that were supposed to be set. I think some try to have rules that are best for them.

It would be nice to have nationalized rules to go by. It will probably be awhile yet. Our club and most of the place;s we go to go by NATPA or USAP rules. Here in the southeast we use 18 height, 18 inch from center of axle, basically same as class 2 or 3.

Yea, but I think they should get there scales together the Ottpa scales are hundreds of pounds lighter then catpa. I also think they should have a different day for farm stock. The pulls are getting longer and longer.

I'd be for it, but you gotta remember a lot of these newer clubs were started because of a dispute about a rule or rules. I think you'd need to form a committee of say 1 stock and 1 super puller from every club that wanted to participate, to agree on exactly what rules would change or stay the same. With the right people it could be a pretty good thing. Maybe there could be 1 big pull at the end of the year for everybody to come to, or a championship pull for all the individual points winners. What do yall think?
