I know this isn't an antique, but I would sure appreciate any help an experienced puller could give. I pull a Case 1175 in Farm Stock. It has the basics- 504, 3LM-466 charger, St. Joseph pump and 4x20 injectors, ported heads, Crane cam at .578 lift, runs 2200 to 2850 RPM, depending on the group I pull with. Pump is set at 325cc. Problem is high EGT's. The pyro will swing past 1600 on a hard pass. I posted on pulloff.com, and the concensus was I needed more pump timing to make the fuel burn better in the engine rather than in the exhaust. I had it set at 28 degrees, so I bumped it to 32. Pulled today, same problem. Do I need more timing? Will more fuel cool it down? Water temp never gets above 170, and water injection is not allowed where I pull. There has to be an easy fix- there's a lot more powerful tractors than mine that don't have this problem. Please help if you can- Thanks
