You can usually take a stock dc, if it has 4 inch gas pistons, 5505 head(gas head) and in low gear not run out of power. I run a 51 dc, with firestone 13.6x38 and win first on a regular basis. i would also first fix hitch as high as allowed and as close as your club allows. You don't have to take a whole lot off to get to 5500.

Run a 5505 gas head, a bigger carb., take everything you can off to lighten it then add it were you need it, and run a old hard set of 15.5x38 tires. Be sure to get the hook point as high as they will let you and as close to the rear as they let you. Usually 20" high and 18" from rear. Do all that crap first that way all you have to do is figure out is were to put your weights and your tire pressure. Ofcourse I always loose so I may be no help.. CASEPOWER

Thanks for the info guys. What would I find the 5505 head on? What carbs would work? What about running 18.4-34 tires or 16.9-34 tires?
