took a motor to sharp, had to go get 6 months after it was supposed to be done, he had screwed up the block, has to have it deck plated, just painted the carb and hadn't done the crank, rod and etc. had to have another build fix and finish it, missed an entire season because of him.

Bob, Have you tried Sandy Lake Implements? Everytime I have dealt with them, I have had great success. Very reasonably prices.

Stay away from Sharps Stroker Service. And Denny's Carb Shop!

As for the others, it depends on the breed. Lemmons is a good IH source, Motec for MM's.

Me personally? They never got the chance. My best friend is a different story.

He bought a 413 off of Sharps for his M. Made an awesome 68hp. Left several messages, no responses. Took several dollars in parts and welding rod to get up to the right hp. Rods were not long enough for the piston height, among other things.

Then he bought a carb off Denny. Lost 6 more hp. The inside of his "NEW" carb hadn't even been cleaned, jets weren't drilled, nothing except paint and a Denny's sticker. He called them up, they called him a@#$%^& liar. He put his old junk, gas leaking carb back on, gained back his 6hp. Another fella sent in a big nut G carb, got back a stock A carb, and a bill.

Lots of true stories, most of them bad. And over the phone he's a prick. Worse in person.

You`ve never dealt with the people at Denny`s or Sharps but you have the nerve to get on here and several other message boards and bad mouth them. Correct that statement if it`s wrong. When you`ve dealt with them yourself then I`ll belive what you are saying. Until then I`ll just chalk it up to someone running their mouth for no known or purposeful reason.

I have dealt with Denny's a number of times. You may be able to buy some of these parts cheaper elsewhere. But he has done the research or homework on the products for you. He sends you what you need. He has always spent time with me on the phone. Again he is probably not the cheapest but He has always delivered what he said he was going to and I agreed on the price before hand so I haven't gotten screwed. There is no company for IH that makes it easier to by product for pulling. He also does a great job of marketing. I have no vested intrest, just a positive experience.

I think I am far from stupid. However I am a very busy person like most of the people on this forum and in tractor pulling. I value the convienience he offers as well as the quick turn around he produces. I am also very successful in New England tractor pulling. I also know from being around people who are competitive from sports to tractor pulling that negative conversation is far more interesting and gathers more participation than good comments. I also am of the opinion that people who are unable to compete or are not successful are also unable to point the finger at them selves. It is always the other guy is cheating or the machine shop screwed me or the rules are against me. My suggestion is stop whinning, do your homework, pay attention to details, and focus on your own performancees and you will enjoy yourself and your sport more.

What's wrong? Are you thinking that maybe you did get screwed by Dennys? Whatever you wasted your money on, I can tell you where to get the same or a better product for less money. You won't get that nice sticker, but you will have a better running tractor and save alot of money. Why do you think there are so many negitive commits about him? I can honesty say that you are the first person that I have heard from, that was happy with Dennys.

No known or purposeful reason? No, that's not the case. It's to help people avoid getting screwed over.

I had thought about buying some stuff off Denny a few years ago, before I had a computer, but after meeting him at a pull decided he wasn't going to get my money. There are enough people selling this stuff that he doesn't need to act that way to someone asking him questions with the intent to give him money. I know a couple of guys who have spent a lot of money over there, but won't go back again. They are a lot happier with the service from Lemmons. I know people who have sent him carbs, paid him good money, and then sent their carbs off somewhere else to get fixed right.

Bob Sharp really screwed over a good friend of mine, and have met others who went through the same ordeal. Guess that means he should get good press? If I had been pulling an IH back then, I probably would have bought stuff off him too. Luckily, I don't so that didn't happen.

I noticed that you only responded to me, and not the others? Is there a reason?

OK BOb. You can deal the Dennys and Sharp's and get screwed. Then you can tell us how they bad they are. The rest of us will stay away from them.
