Most antique pulls cut off at 1959, so your 1020 won't make it, but if your from the PA,MD area there are alot of pulls monthly (ie. Shippensburg, Newville, TwoTop, Willow Grove) that you can pull at. You might want to look for pulls that run a 5,500Lb and 7,500ib classes. Good Luck!

The good thing I see here is the Father ,Son spending valuable time together.A lot of son's and daughter's would like to have their father interested in tractor pulling or taking the time to enjoy life with them.

I have been pulling just like you except with my grandfather. I was luck to step right in and be successful. I pull a 53 G at the moment, and I have pulled it since I was about 9. Its a wonderful expirence.... it does turn into a bit of a obession I will admit.

Good Luck

Most antique classes are pre-1960, and have been for a lot of years. You would think that the year limit would move up to allow newer old tractors to pull, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Your best bet would be to find a farm stock pull with light classes.

ya, you know why it hasn't moved...cause then the John Deere 4010 and 4020 tractors would be in some classes!! there afraid to get beat. Around here, it's 1952 and older in the antique classes.
Pull on

That's my theory too. You'd think that the clubs would want more members and pullers, so including these newer tractors would make some sense. I don't understand why they just don't have another year breakdown from like 1960 up to 1965 or whatever. Then the guys with the newer tractors could pull and the guys with the older tractors wouldn't have to worry about the new ones.
