I'm just wondering if you guy's feel that the electronic ign. really helps build power over a magneto? Are they worth the money, who makes good one's?

Zonie, I have installed Petronix electronic modules in my '53 AC WD and my '64 IH504. Haven't seen a dyno power increase, but both tractors start easier and are more dependable. Have won a 4500# class 2 years in a row with the WD. The ignition will fire well right down to 0 rpm's. (If the Allis hooks up well, I'll stall it). This group only allows 35hp in this class, so have to watch power level to stay under 35hp. Oh yeah, I got the parts from (gasp!) Denny's.

I installed one in an A John Deere, couldn't tell any difference in the hp on a dyno .But it made the tractor start a lot better and i've pulled all season on the same set of plugs where as last year would have to change plugs ever 3rd week end.
