I pull in local pulls with a WC Allis. Some tracks are hard surface, some are clay. What type of tires should I be looking for for each of these different kinds of tracks. The hard surface tracks are either cement or blacktop. Our local rules say I can't be wider than 13.6. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Let me tell you. I have never really seen a diference.... your draw bar make a huge difference on pavement.

Ever tired spinning your tires backwards on black top with the tractor chained to something solid (fork lift) it puts a killer edge on them that is "road worn"

The best tire for pavement or concete is a set of uncutlongbar- shotbar firestones( The kind that are used for V-cuts) turned backwards. The more rubber you can put on the ground the better off you will be!! We have took an old pair of radials and cut all the tread off of them. They worked like a drag slick, then they outlawed them!!

Do you think that no tread at all (completely worn out tire) is better than a sharp edge in front of a mostly worn out tread? Interesting opinion. I notice that racing cars on blacktop or concrete use slicks, not mudders with sharp front edges. What do you think?
