I'm looking at purchasing a MM ZA for a pulling tractor. What does it take to get up in the 60HP range? The book says that it already has a 5" stroke. Any help would be appreciated.

There isn't a whole lot of "cheap" horse power for Z's like there is for U's. Welters sells .185 over pistons but that alone won't get near 60 hp.

A guy in our club has an R with the 206 + (Z engine) engine claims it put out 70hp on a dyno, has won the 4000 both times I've seen it pull. Don't know what's inside but does sound like its running 300-400 rpm above stock.
