I pull with a John Deere 620 fresh engine am going to retire it, want to go with 14.9X38 but can't find 13 inch rims as recomended by Firestone can get either a 13 or 14 what would be best with this tire. Or should I just stay with 15.5X38 on a 14 inch rim. I pull in 6500 thru 8500and spin out with the present tires.

I'd run the 14" rims on the 14.9's. They will help give you your pootprint at higher psi, which will help keep your drawbar up.

hey

i pull a 1951 "A" John Deere and last year i had a pair of 15x5x38 armstrongs on it and i couldn't get it to pull in the 5500-6500 pound classes.i watched all the vidios my girlfriend taped and i found out that it was to low to the ground in the rear so i raised the drawbar from 18" to 20" it didn't help much.so i went a head and put a pair of 16x9x38 good years on the back and i still wasn't doing good.so i watched more vidios and after i spun out my holes were round not flat so they had 12 pounds of air in them so i took 2 pounds out of them and since then ive brought home about 5 1st place trophys. If u have any questions about how i raised the draw bar up or anything just e-mail me.

Glad to be of some help. Dustin
