When adapting the oliver 77, 9 bolt hubs to a farmall H what is the most common adaption. Should i have the hubs machined to fit the IH axel/wheel key, or have the oliver key machined to fit the IH axel keyway. Just bought a really nice pair CHEAP!. Just dont know how to make them work. Thanks again to all you tractor genious's..... .H

ex h puller has the right idea. I took a 4.5"angle grinder and modified my h axles so the olliver 77 hubs fit like a glove. This took about 45 minutes per axle, not a big deal at all.The only alternative I could come up with was buying a set of weld-on 9 bolts. I did not want to weld on my axles so I gave the 77 hubs a try. I am very happy with the way it turned out.

just take a grinder to the keyway on the axles and grind till the oliver key fits. I did mine that way and it worked fine. take your time and they will be fine. cheap too

Keith; thanks for the post but the IH hubs most likely wont fit. The H has a much smaller axel than the M, 460, etc. The only thing that fits that i know of is the oliver 77 hub at 2.5" if my memory serves me right. Anyway the hubs that i have are the right diameter, wrong key. but hey "thanks anyway"..... .H
