I want to bore a c 263 block out to 4" and use 350 chevy pistons in it. Can I do this without sleeving it, if I fill the water jacket with hard block?

Mike, go 3.875 with no problems at all. 4.125 sleeved. Around 5.750 on the crank is about it.
Why the change in colors? The two lungers just not fast a-nuff anymore? How did your crops turn out this year? Take Care!

460 block is a 221 for gas 236 for diesel. Both have wet sleeves also the 263 has wet sleeves. The 301 has no sleeves. 301 by far the best way to go but does need hardblock at 4 inch bore.

I think it is time to quit the BS. Lets get this board back to what it is meant for. Yes you can bore the 263 block or 301 block for 4" pistons without sleeves, but with the hard block.

Something like concrete. Keeps the sleves/cylindars from shifting or changing shape.
You would need more clearance between the piston and sleve because they can't expand out anymore and have to come in.
