There was a really nice looking Farmall M at the pull last Saturday that was pulling in the wrong class in my feeling. It appeared he was running a stock uncut tractor in the Farm Stock class which allowed cut tires instead of the Antiqe Class where it truely belonged. I am just wondering what may have been going on, was the owner trying to prove something or was something else happening. One side note is that if he was in the antque class he would of really put a hurting on them.

I believe you are talking about me. I am a younger guy some what new to the pulling world and had a REALLY bad decision made for me at Marshalville. I guess since I was new and have a sharp looking tractor the VERY OLD generation of TECK men were trying to prove something by throwing there weight around making me run in the HOT class. They in formed me that my FIRESTONE DEEP TREADS were CUT which of coarse they are not. My tractor isn't hot enough and I admit it! One thing I noticed was that I was the only one up there with DEEP TREADS so it appeared to me that the older generation doesn't understand how they ware over time.

I do appreciate the complement on my tractor and to all the pullers I met expecially the ones that were able to realize I was put in the WRONG class. Other than the individuals that were in charge the fellow pullers were very nice and a special hi goes to the couple with the 5-STAR in Dover.

Many people go there to hook as many times/classes as possible. You can get more seat time there than anyplace else I know. Its a good place to make "test" runs and hook fees are cheap also.
