I would like to slow my 1952 GW down. I pull dead weight so I do not want a lot of speed. I do not care if the change is to all the gears or just 1st.

Get some 14 inch or wider wheels and try to find some short 15.5 tires.I have seen some shorter than others but I can't recall the brand.I wished there were some aftermarket gear kits available for the G first gear.

I think you might have a possibility of first reduction gears out of 70 diesel. I know a man that slowed his unstyled "G" until he bored and stroked and got the power to run in standard 2nd gear .He may have them hanging in his shop.Earl in Illinois

It will be cheapest to trade to a 50/520/530,60/620/630,720/730 or 80/820/830 with the factory creeper 1st gear. Plus you will have live hydraulics and the option of live pto, three point hitch on some and optional power steering on all. Getting cu$ton tran$mi$$ion gear$ cut is going to co$t plenty.
