Kenny!!
I see you found my E-Mail!
Andy - Like Kenny said - if your having that much problems with it, replace it with AC 175 parts.
And like the rest said - A WC/WD governor work sometimes to good.

Andy the best thing you can do is get a 175 overhaul book. Get new 175 weights, pins, spring, spindle, and fork. Make sure your gear is excellent and then set it up according to the 175 book. This stuff is a little pricey from Agco but it is the only way to fly.

looks like the people at Denny's are the only ones that know anything about governors, since nobody else has any ideas or tips for Andy.

ANDY, You must have overlooked something because they are a very good governor stock. There is a complete check list to making the gov respond. You need to find a old retired Allis mechanic that made his living working on them.Where do you live.Get on the Allis forum and get Butch from Ohio to walk you through it. Earl in Illinois

I agree with SEAMO. Allis governor's are lightning fast without needing help. I usually detune mine a bit. Does the starter turn the engine over normally, if not I suspect something internal.
