Hey guys:

Instead of hunting an M&W kit, can I get a turbo and manifold off of a 4430 and bolt it up to my 4020, i think it will make a noticable difference, but can it be done without junking a good hood?

Thanks,
JOhn

Too much pain, no gain! The turbo will be a measly 1" too tall for the hood. Beside that, if you have early, firewall mounted dual SCVs, the JD exhaust manifold interferes there also. The M&W manifold is the way to go, even if you are transplanting a complete 404 Turbo engine into a 4010/4020.

use a 4320 exhaust & intake manifolds, and turbo. The farmer next to me did it to his early style 4020, and was no problem with the hyd. remotes, and worked out great. He also taped into the vien,(where the AC.compressor would be on a 4430) for the return line, and came off the oil cooler housing for the pressure side. It runs really good, looks professional, and looks stock. Also he did not do anything to his hood.
