Excluding a couple minor mishaps (460 axle housing falling to pieces, and Dodge truck transmission disintegrating) we had a GREAT Pull. Fortunately, the lady driving the Dodge fared much better than the truck. Round man was smiling REAL big with his FP to take 1st in 4700 stock!
Red Hoss had to go and be a true show off, but he knows I'm not going to let up! What I thought was a die-hard IH man showed up with his new JD A, and being the true gentleman that he is, he let a die-hard IH lady drive it a couple of times. Truly a good pulling tractor.
Had a couple new pullers there including the 300 Utility that I put first dibs on if the owner decides to ever get rid of it.
We all enjoyed the company of Wildman and one of the "original" M&M's. The new paint job on Wildman's H looks fantastic.
However, that %&*#@ #@#@$%@&* !#$%&$# track was tough! DR, Sr was right earlier about not spinning out, just choking down. Look for DR, Sr to be driving something new by next year - it will be red but a whole lot bigger than he's used to. I just wonder if his internal organs have stopped 'vibrating'!!!! Fun day, GREAT weather (excluding the knats); 209 hooks. You coming to Bishopville? Next Pageland pull is the 26th and don't forget on Sunday, 27th, there will be a BENEFIT pull in Pageland.
