Could anyone give me any info on a cockshutt 570 super. How much hp are they supposed to make and what is the high idle speed. Where do you get engine rebuild parts.

thank you

Without looking at my book, I think they were in the neighborhood of 60hp at 1800 rpm. I need to double check those numbers. For engine parts, you can get them directly from what is left of Hercules at the link below. I have heard that they are kind of pricy on stuff, but they do have it. As far as pulling goes, most people run the newer 3400 series block that was available in both gas and diesel. They both used the same block and cross flow head. Problem with them and the stock 570 super blocks is there is not a lot of room in them for a large bore. They do have a very very strong bottom end however.

There is a real strong 570 in Ohio. Not out this year because of engine problems. It runs in a no rpm limit class so he probably would be no help for that question. He may be able to help you with parts. Email kevin at nascar06@raex.com.
