I see all this crabbing about NATPA...well it's one heck of a lot better'n what ever else is out there. Being Division 1 pullers, everywhere we went, we were always up against hot rods. Finally started pulling every Sun. at a club in the Finger Lakes of NY that uses NATPA rules, FUN FUN FUN!!!!! If you get beat, it's because someone had a better set up, not because they were souped up!!! We got sick of these guys that took their 200HP M's to the local fairs where what rules there were, are not enforced, and felt real big 'cause they won. (Funny, never see these guys in Division 2,3,or 4 at a sanctioned pull!) Anyway, like I said, FUN, FUN, FUN, great bunch of guys, only problem is, i thought with Football starting, I would be OK on on Sundays, but I'm going through withdrawls!!!!! Wish our weather would accommodate a longer season. Pete

I hope you are a Bills fan. G-men and the Jets are pretty bad this year.

Yup, Growing up I was a fan of the men who wear the star, so I learned to despise the G-men. I can remember all those dreary Sunday afternoons back in the '70's and '80's listening to Marv Albert drone on during an awful Jets game, which was always the regional game on NBC back then...so I have never been a Jets fan. Along came Jim Kelly and I began to lean toward Buffalo, the Jerry Jones exerted himself, and I became a RABID Bills Fan!

You gotta be kidding. I live 45 miles from Dallas and I hate the cowboys with a passion. I went to the game two Sundays ago (because I was given a good ticket) and I cheered like a rabid dog while the NYG beat the cowgirls. I grew up a big Steelers fan and while they were killing the cowboys in the 70's super bowls, I fell in love with the Steelers in a big way. I still like them but boy do they have trouble at the QB position. I applaud you for liking the Bills. cowboys turn my stomach.

At our local tractor show we have a fun pull with an antique step on sled. They pull 1 plow 2 plow etc with no other rules, scale, score card, trophies or nutten, anybody that shows up can pull. Pull right on the grass until the tractors get it dug up. They might blade the "track" down a time or two at most. Of course a few pullers that never won a legit pull in there life show up, complain about the "track" and sled and proceed to thump (sometimes) the stocker show tractors with weighted down pullen tractors. They go home thinking they are world beaters, us others get a good laugh out of it and have fun pulling. Most the folks in the seats aint stupid either, don't forget that. You pullen pros probably think it is a joke of a pull but it is more fun than any pull I have ever been envolved with. The sorry track conditions and sled usually lead to the pullers saying "we aint never coming back here" (ever see cut tires pull on grass, hee hee) and that friends, is the intent of the deal.
