I have a Massey 44 that I am rebuilding to pull aginst farmall M. What can I do to get more tourque and HP out of the 4 cylinder. I bored the engine to 4 inch and shaved the head. Granted I would not like to run in the open classes.

I have provided components (sleeves, pistons, custom ground camshafts) for engines like you are wanting to build. I have built H260 (MH44) engines from stock (55HP) clear up to 150HP+ open class engines. It is certainly possible to get 70 HP @ stock +10% RPM from an H277 (277 cube) setup without major work. That should be enough to scare your "average" Farmall M. Email me for more info...

The door is wide open! You need to tell me more about what you want to do! I don't just "sell parts!" I told you that so you would know that there ARE people out there that are building and pulling competitive Massey's. It is important that you know what your "target" is concerning horsepower. Only then will you get the correct components for what you are trying to build. Just remember that when it comes to engines, no one single part works the best in EVERY engine. All the components of an engine need to be designed to work together to provide maximum output. I can help you with the design (specifications) of all of your H260 engine parts, but you need to decide what you want out of it first!
