Will the stock intake manifold for a 88 oliver flow enough air? It sure doesnt look like it would. What can you do to the valve/intakes on that engine to help it? I am putting a 3 3/4 overbore kit in and not going to change the stroke just need a little advice on the head. thanks

Did you get my pictures I e-mailed to you? I have been having problems getting it sent to you. I pull a 880 gas that runs 6,000rpm and runs in 5th gear-if you want power, let me know-

If you are good and can do math you really don't have to "guess". I dont know about the rules where you pull, but around here you pull what you've brung and hope you brung enough! There are a few 460's that twist even more than 6,000 rpm and yes, they do beat my Oliver sometimes.I don't make the rules, I just try to keep up and have fun--and it is. And if your nick name is BUCK because you are a Deere fan, I can see why 6,000 rpm is out of the question.

for your bore and no stroke with flat pistons you can get enough air through 1650 manifold on an 880 head with stock valves. your best efforts would be to spend some money on a good cam grind so you will lug you wont be overpowered with your bore. i pull an 88 just like yours email if you want more info and stuff.

Stacy--

I have a 1650 manifold that I will sell. I am running a different setup than I originally planned to so I don't need this manifold anymore. Post your email and I can send you some pics.

I have some 195gku heads/manifolds(99/950)that would work. e-mail me and I can send you some pics of comparing them to an 88 head and manifold.
