We had our yearly meeting last night. I made a motion to allow suitcase wts. and it was passed by a very large majority.
We also voted to split up the classes, stock classes will pull at 3 mph, and the enhanced ones will pull 5 1/2 mph, sure glad mine are enhanced. Now I think we are on our way to catching up with the rest of the country.

I've read all the posts up to now and here's my 2 cents. As to the "what club is this and where do you pull", I think they should add "so I can come screw your a$$" because they preceive this as a hillbilly club that can be easily taken advantage of. Be aware of this and give them a suprise. Suitcase weights are great, congratsulations. Separating pure stock from enhanced with 3 and 5.5 mph is a very good idea. Pulling 3 mph with an enhanced tractor is a handfull. You only have two choices: go up a gear or two and dog the engine, or pull in low and take a chance on over-torqueing to rear tires. Good Luck and keep us posted on the 03 season.

I have no problem with the changes that were made at the meeting, they were needed. It was the way the meeting was conducted. You had to be there!

I was at that meeting if thats what you want to call it. I would have called it a cluster fu#*. You all got what you wanted, some of you. But you sure went the long way around the barn to get it. And the poor guys in the 10 &12,000 lb didnt even know what speed they voted for untill it pased. I would have thought that they would have had some disscusion on issues before just voting on them. It will work for me but some of them shot out there own tires. And now you know the rest of the storie.

I agree partly with you, it wasn't a very well run meeting, very confusing at times and I'm sure some people didn't know what they were voting on. As far as the 10,000# and 12,000# they have the same option as any other weight class, they can either pull the 3 mph or the 5 1/2 mph. I don't know whether you stayed until the end of meeting or not but we voted on this again and decided to pull all the classes the same. The main thing I wanted was the suitcase wts. My back feels better already.

I can never see the point in a speed limit. Yes it makes the competition closer, but if you look at it the stronger tractors still come out on top most of the time. I pull on occasion with a stock tractor and get my but kicked most of the time, but would sooner have no speed limit. It is very boring to watch a tractor with alot of snot under the hood to keep backing out of the throttle. Just my 2 cents!

I have no idea where this place is. I would never go to a pull that has a speed limit any way. Unless if it was in my back yard and I had nothing else better to do!
