I know most you boy pull older iron, but a friend of mine asked me to check around and ask how light an Allis D 21 could be gotten. Our clubs tubo class has 9,000, and 10,000 pound classes, and he wasn't sure how to go about reducing all that weight, or even if it would be possible. Thanks ahead of time for any input. Greg H.

I have seen a couple that ran in the 8500 class with COATPA.

9,000 should not be to hard to do. Get rid of the big casting under the front end and fab a mount to attach front axle to getrid of the rear hubs, strip pto and hyd. and 3 point if it has one.The one I had weighed 10,000 lbs stock wit 3 point hitch. Dave

There are two D-21s pulling with our club in the 10,000 lb. class. I believe they have several moveable weights on their tractors too.

Lightest a D-21 will go? Dennis Johnson(Shagnastyeer) had a 5500 # one, had some movable ballast in the 5500. 10000 wouldn't even be a challenge by those standards.

Thanks everyone, I'll pass along the information. I was under the impression that these bad boys went around 11 or 12 thousand pounds. If they are only around 10 thousand to start with, than like you all said above 9 thousand shouldn't require much work. thanks again, Greg H.
