Is the Super 51 carbuerator rebuild that Robert's does worth the money? I have a G with stock stroke and milled head, and am trying to figure out whether to go for a standard rebuild or pay more and get the super 51. What are everybody's opinions? Thanks

Yes the super 51 will help your stock stroke engine. It added about 5 HP to my brothers G, he had some head porting done in addition to M&W pistons. I think all the talk about too much carb or manifold for a stock tractor is hog wash. Like the guy says an engine is just an air pump the more air you can get in the more power you will get out. I do think the post about saving your G carb and using an A carb for the mods is a good idea. I would also check around to see if you could find someone else to get a price from. You shoul be able to find someone to do it for less..."it ain't the space shuttle"

BWB with stock bore and stroke I'd think long and hard about the super '51 it will support over 800+ ci it might be an overkill on 413 ci.Just my two penny's worth. Gman

Before I would spend $400, I would look around at what some other places can do. There are other places that can rework your carburetor and get the same results for about half what Roberts charges.

BWB, rather than modify your a stock 51, which are getting hard to find and expensive, I would suggest getting a gasoline "A" carb reworked. I talked to Robert about that, and he says he can modifiy a DLTX 71 to support up to 800 cubic inches. I believe he said it would be in the neighborhood of $400 for the whole job, including the rebuild. You might give him a call and get his opinion, as he is very helpful and knowledgeable. That's just an option and it's your decision, but I hate to see a good stock 51 get butchered.
