I just got an Farmall H and I am new to the pulling. I have a machine shop at my disposal also. I would like to know what exactly I could do with this tractor. Different head, bore and stroke lengths, cam, cranks, manifolds, carbs, and advise is helpful. I would like to pull in 4000,4500, maybe 3500 pound classes. Also would like to pull in 3 or 4th gear if possible. thanks.

If you are truely serious give a gentleman in michagin a call named Gary Baker. He has built multiple H's, one personally, that will do more than I am sure you are looking for. His prices are reasonable and one heck of a GREAT guy to work with.734 428 9688

I had an 48 H and it was a good looking tractor, I love using it, but it was not a pulling tractor. I put thousands of dollars in to it, and got nothing out of it, you can't get much out of them. I know some guys that pull H's and get bet every time! My dad has a super M and it is a good pulling tractor, b/c it has more block to play with, and more horse power.... I sold the H and bought me a truck, now I have a John Deere, and I will never go red again!!!!!

Why blame Lemmon's? If someone comes into a machine shop and says "this is what I want, and here is a blank check to cover it" what do you think they are going to do?

Get a life and answer people's questions instead of causing problems.

This is what is wrong with internet tractor pullers! The guy asked a legit question about what could be done to an H, instead of giving him an honest reply, a couple of goobers go off on some stupid dream tractors and tell how much they don't know! So next time if you can't help someone out, shut the heck up, everyone is tired of hearing ya'll noncompetitive crybabies whine like a litter of puppies when no one has jerked your chain!
