went to my first pull last night. what a disaster. our club is having trouble getting enough entries under 5000 in the stock classes. and are considering dropping yhem. so I took my f-20. put some 14.9 38's steel pressed on added stander bars a kill switch , to pullin div3 type tractors. one of our board members recamended this set-up and told me I would be fine . at this time he pulled in a heavier class. I never moved the sled and it killed out twice. the board member won the class with twice the power as i . then acked like he didn't know me. what did I learn?? I need to go pure stock with the factory tires and I learned who not to trust and who has the pulling spirit of enjoying the sport. the way it should be.not how I was treated. The rest of the club was great and i will try again with the experience noted.

Sorry to hear you had prob's. Mine were at the
last pull of last year. We have a local show with
zealots for officials. We had all pulled in our
one allowed class and were ready to pack it in.
The announcer stated that my cousin was about to
pull exhibition... he wasn't. I went to the
official and said if he wanted, we would quick put
the weights back on and be ready in about 2 -3
min. (mental note: no more favors for officials) I
then endured 5 minutes of verbal tounge lashing
for trying to get into more classes than allowed
and what did I think he was anyways, an idiot like
me? !!! I couldn't take any more and really let
him have it with my very firm command of the
English language. (That poor dumb SOB is probably
still trying to figure out if I insulted him or
not). Well, out of that little problem, 20 or so
people have resectfully declined to attend the
event this year(approx 30 units).
It's a shame when a good show gets a jerk like that
in it's ranks. Next year his position comes up
for a vote and he may have some competition. Viva
la change!
Best of luck and may your next pull be better.

There are alot of "Little King" wannabes running
around who should never be given any authority
unfortunately antique tractor pulling seems to get
more than its fair share, generally the club or
group tires of their petty ways and gives them the deep six,but they can be aggravating.
