Getting DQ'd for being green, Nah!!! DQ'd for getting caught not playing by the rules, maybe? The last time someone posted about what they "heard", a big ruckus got started and alot of hard feelings now, unnecessarily, exist. If the horse doesn't want to speak his mind ..... ....

Oh don't pay no attention to the thumper there. He's still trying rile me up about getting dqed myself. He and his cronies give me a fit about my old red tractor, but it's all in fun.

And by the way, what is it that you're Curious about?

Well you usually get DQed for beating the wrong person, but a John Deere you say? Naw couldn't be that.

Well that is what I was kinda eluding to. I understand that a strong pulling JD had beat the wrong tractor and was immediately DQ'ed. Do you know what rule he broke?

Stock, 1st gear only rule - he probably wasn't the only one in the wrong gear, he was just the one caught, and I understand he admitted to the error.

The JD *IS* a strong puller. Alot of time and effort has gone into making that a STRONG puller. I don't know if he was in wrong gear in another class he won [when I was biting at his cheeks], but I was happy with my 2nd place. Am not saying he was right, just that I'm pulling for the fun and still feel Rules is Rules. We all know each organization has their own set of rules and in order to play with them you have to go by their rules. If we go to Lumberton on Saturday, our SMTA can't pull because it doesn't meet CATPA rules! Seems simple to me.

Shouldn't be any hard feelings, if there are any. Isn't this supposed to be FUN?
Hope the weather cooperates this weekend so everyone that plans to pull somewhere gets to pull and have a good time.

Ya'll have a good day.

Like Casepower, I'd like to know what rules the SMTA does't meet. Down East we have rules that we feel are fair. If by some chance your SMTA doesn't qualify under our rules, I assure you, they will let you pull in your classes but out of competition. Come on down, we would love to have you! If we don't pull Saturday, the rain date is Sunday. And one more thing, our clubs Down East (CATPA and DATPA) aren't known for rules changing because the sled owners or the one in the click aren"t winning. I'm not saying its never happen but not as much as some clubs have done.

What rules does your SMTA not meet?? I am just wondering because they don't have alot of rules and none that seem overboard.

The SMTA does not have fenders on it or a kill switch [or even a dead-man's throttle required by some]. This will be rectified over the next several months among all the other projects (non-tractor related) that have to get done!!

Come on to Lumberton. I assure you they will let you pull the first time (maybe out of competition). However, they will want you to comply with the rules the next time. Fair enough? If they make you pull out of competition and you win, I personally assure you a trophy, if I have pay for it myself or I'm lucky enough to win one.
