How much horse power can you get from these super77
and super 88 using standard overbore with bolt on
heads intakes carbs etc. from the 1550 or the 1650?

What profile is good for a reground cam for 20% over
stock rpm?

Did Oliver have any LP tractors in the 1500 or 1600 series?

Email off list if you prefer. Thanks

The cam will or at least should be dependant on the size valves, port size on the head, runner volume and size of the intake and carb and the exhaust factors. Another major factor is rocker arm ratio. Then all this figures in to the rpm you plan to turn and where you want the torque curve to fall. Bigger is not always better.

Just my opinion, if you can figure out how to get the greatest port velocity at the rpm you want to turn you will have a much higher V.E. which will give you the most torque. If the cam is to big for the motor/rpm you will drop vacume and contaminate the incoming charge.

You will have to talk to a cam grinder and have all these factors in hand unless you use a proven setup that someone else has already figured out and that might be a little hard to match and get it out of someone.
