Our family is kind of new to John Deere, we've always ran the other color green. Anyhow we ran into a 730 gas that we couldn't pass up. We we're wondering how many cubes and how many horses we could get. We want to go as big as possible! Can they be built to compete with power block JD G's?
Any help would be much appreciated!

I have both a G and a 730D. Low gear on the G is about 2 1/2 mph while it's about 1 1/2 on the 730. You need lots of power because of the high speed gearing on the G, however, the 730 will always run out of tracton before power in low gear with no modifications. You should be able to get into a much lower weight class with the gas tractor that I can with a diesel. You can have fun and not run out of power just the way it is. Good luck.
