Should of asked Bear or Burch to drive it for you. If you did that it would not of even needed teched or looked at. They are such fine examples!! Pay closer attention the next time. Let the directors show the way. Good Luck you will need it.

Cheaters wine just as much as the winners if theres one little thing wrong they will wine thats all there is to it. I have been DQed for not having the pulley on a U Moline now we have to carry the books with us to prove them wrong.

Any pulling or auto racing is all about how much you can bend the rules in your favour, find loop holes and how much you can cheating you can hide without getting caught. It's all about making the laws of physics work for you. What to see subjective decisions win or loose? Just look at livestock showing or competitive dance, skating etc. I thought I was a good cheat but you should have seen the guys who beat me, had to admire how resourceful they were.

Well first off it sounds like you know a little bit about the head history so if I was going to pull something like that I would carry some documentation to prove it was legal but I guess it is easyer to gripe .Any way this was my first time pulling at this level and I thought it went rather well and I would like to thank the Maumee Valley Pullers for taking on the chalenge of putting on one of these NATPA pulls .

To be honest I was also d.q. for to wide of rim 15 inches .I bought new 14.9 ,28s and could'nt see putting the tires on 13 inch rims .I knew going in that if the tech crew was doing there job I probably get d.q. Once Maumee valley pullers got involved I had a really good time. Finishing 14th/4000,28th/4500 I used my C.H. Wendle book that I have for my serial# Im not sure when they stoped making the straigt shifter WD Ive owened the tractor that I pull with for 20 years.I just bought another WD with a curved shifter from a farmer that I know who bought the tractor new witch has the small block with the tall head.So thats what made me upset. about

Well to all you boys who threw in your rude comments it was'nt worth your time! They started the tall heads on WD's in 1952 and hey Chuckster they stopped producing the WD in 1953 so I think you should maybe check you serial #'s again. Who ever threw you out better do some reading up on their Persian Orange. I've got paper work to say so if you'd like to go back and throw in in somebody's face! Just my point of the situation but hety I'm no expert like the NATPA boys are!

What I seen was 10-12 tractors that I pull with that got DQ that had pull with them before for years. But they where not with in there rules those years either and was aloud to pull.So they came to pull from 2&3 hours a way & had rooms in town to stay.Pulling is for fun no real money to win it cost more to go & do it then you win. When you count gass in truck and tractor, food, cost to pull, and all the other costs. So I think if safty things are ok and your basic evening factors are in place like tires rims speed let them pull. There are very few trators that run out of power any more any way. What is the differts 90hp m with a stock block or 90hp m with 450 block.People will build big engines.I will say with my old stock worn out engine and just have fun.

It seems some people only want the rules enforced on other pullers. If you took a tractor that is not within the rules you got what you deserved.

My tractor did pass tecking & some of other I pull with did not. But they had pulled with there tractors for years & passed in natpa so they came.I think better teching is good. But permoter still has to pay there bills. To put it on so if you dont let 5 out of 10 pull you out of 100 hooks at$25 you just lost $1250.that is alot of money out of pocket to loose. When you put such a nice pull as they do in doors that is alot of money to recover.THERE RULES ARE THERE AND ARE ENFORCE AS THEY SHOULD BE THIS YEAR THEN YOU NEED TO BE WRIGHT BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR HOUSE.That means all rules as far as year of tractor. If some of have problem with to new of tractors pull like I have seen posted before be come a member and stop it.

Dear Sir, I will not make excusses for what happened.
But it sounds like everybody is being treated
the same. Thats the way it is supposed to be.
Be glad that the rules are being enforced. Scott

Call Bill Bear or Lemmons for an explanation of why they believe it is legal. Division 5 pullers think it is, so Bill gets to pull it.
