Anybody have (or know of) an old JD 70 laying around, I am in need of a new project. Thinking JD this time, Grandpa would like that.
Let me know!

I know of no JD 70, but I have a nice MM UB for sale. Sorry, I'm biased torwards yellow. Can't beat the Johnny popper sound of a Deere though. Consider a 70 diesel?

I have a JD 70 standard diesel which is in excellent condition. It came from North Dakota so it is not all rusted out like some. Has original paint, good tires and would make a good pulling tractor. I would like $3250 for it. It is located at Arena, Wi and trucking is available.Bob Anderson

Jennifer,I have a 70-D that is pretty much disassambled. I got it from a guy that tore it down and bought new parts to overhaul it including a brand new crankshaft, rings valves etc. I have had it for 4-5 years and I am not going to get to put it back together(i build and pull tractors also, enough said)It would make a great project tractor. 616 527 4511 or 989 587 6921. Hi Jennifer. Good to see you are enjoying pulling! I have a 70, but it is in like new condition and not tor sale. (I will keep you in mind if one is spotted). I love to pull, but haven't much for several years due to some modifieds entering the hobby. I do like watching them pull, but don't much enjoy having to pull agains't them, and I take pride in running field workable tractors. I wish you the best of luck, and know that you will really enjoy the Deere line! Merry Christmas! Don

Amen DP! We pull only stock div 1, our 70 does very well as long as ya don't tangle with 720's or 730's! The club we pull at in Upstate, NY is great, about 80% Div 1 stockers on most weekends, and we have a great time! Showed up to the NYS Championships in Junius Ponds, and after hauling 3.5 hrs (The Super C and the 70) we found out that Div 1 guys are really encouraged to stay home; only 3 classes in Div 1; #3000, #5000, and #7000 (but they are certainly happy to put our Div 1 hook fees to use buying speed limit horns and such for the higher divisions. Anyway, we borrowed some more weights, and managed a 3rd in #5000 with the Super C (real proud of the old girl!!!), couldn't get the 70 down to #7000 though, as we had some fluid in the tires to make up for a shortage of JD wheel weights, so she just watched! It really irratated her though, 'cuz the next week at a regular pull, she "whumped up" on everything!!! Pete
