I want to put axle hubs on my CASE DC. The axle is 2 7/8" in diameter. Does anyone know where I can get some or what other tractor uses hubs that will fit? Is there any place I can get a listing of tractor axle sizes & styles. Years ago I saw a catalog listing dual wheel hubs for almost any tractor. I am trying to get rid of my cast iron wheels & use lighter steel center ones, on the rear of my CASE. Can anybody help???

Joel, Thanks for the help. How was this machining done? Did you set it up in a Bridgeport mill. I'm wondering how to mill the key all the way to the end. If I set it up in my end mill, the spindle will probably contact the opposite side of the hub before the whole legnth of the key is reworked. I have found some 1655 hubs & would appreciate machining advice, as I will have to seek machine shop service & any short cut I can help them with, means money saved. I only have a verticle mill & think I cannot do it.

I think Oliver 1655 hubs will work. I haven't tried it yet, but they measure the same.

We modified a set of 1655 hubs for my DC this winter. The Oliver hub has a tapered sides on the key. We put them in a milling machine and squared them up to match the key way in the DC axles.
