We set one of gas pistons and rod up next to one of the propane pistons and the gas is 1/2" longer. It looks like the piston pin is lower on the propane piston. When we get the crank back in i guess we will have try to figure which combo wil work best.Any one have know what the best combo would be best. Any downsides to this? It will only be wsed for pulling. Thanks for Any and all help . TR

Check to see how far the tallest piston comes to the deck of the block. Check the CCs of the head you are useing. You can use the bore 4-5/8, stroke 6", head gasket thickness, head gasket bore, distance the rings are from top of piston, and CCs to figure your compression ratio. If you need some tips on how to check this e-mail me. Case used a single mark on the crank gear that goes between the double marks on the cam gear and then there is a single mark 180 degrees from the double marks on the cam gear that lines up with the double marks on the governor gear.
