I am interested in starting to pull. I have an M-M G that I am fixing up for a show tractor, but the more time I spend on it and the more antique shows I go too, the more I want to start pulling. From what I have seen, most M-Ms that are pullers are U's...why? Is the G to heavy? Or will the U work for more classes? I haven't weighted my G, but book says it weights about 8000lbs, will the G be outclassed by other tractors? There is a local pull coming up that is just for fun with no prizes, etc...if I get my G finished in time, thought I would hook it a time or two just to have some fun and see what it will do.

When I lived in northern California, I saw many MM G's at the pulls held up and down the central valley. They were very competitive with the rules they used--mainly 1 hp per hundredweight. (After pull win a dyno check was mandatory)
