I am looking for a slower corn picker transmission for my F-20, and was wondering how to tell a Farmall F-20 with a regular speed transmission apart from one with the slower cornpicker transmission? Is their a prefix after the serial number signifiying the slower cornpicker transmission. Or is their some other way to tell them apart. Thanks for any help you may be able to give me. Mike
Have a Happy New Year!!!

The way you can identify the slow 1st gear is by the reverse idler gear The reverse idler gear is one long gear all the same. The fast low reverse idler has 2 different teeth numbers. If I remember right you must take off the wheels, axles and both transmission shafts.

I never heard of a corn picker 1st gear in a F-20. I know the H's and M's were built with them in 1952-1953. If there is a transmission like that the 1st gear will be slower than normal.
