Hi, I've got an old 930 standard tractor, wondering how some good ways to loose some weight, the p.t.o housing is real big, wondering if it can come off and be blocked with a plate, or does this housing have to be there to carry a bearing on a shaft, etc. Also, does anybody know if a different hub wil fit the front spindles on these tractors, I'd like to get something besides the heavy cast hubs with 18 in. rims. Thanks, Willie

The rear cover off of a L or LA will fit. The ones with no PTO or Hydralics have a nice eagle cast on them. The front hubs off of most later Case treactors will fit. Look for some 6-hole hubs off fo a 730 or like tractor. There are 2 weights in the nose you can take out. We have a 900 down to 8500# with no problem.

Hey Thanks Jim, How much would be a fair price for a p.t.o cover plate like you mentioned, and are they easily found or scarce? I live in TN., and you don't see a whole lot of Case tractors here. Thanks, Willie

Check with Ruscha or Don Livingston. I think you can get one for $150

I don't know a lot about cases, but our 930 Standard, (1965) has the hubs for press steel wheels on it. They say the later 930ck standards like ours came with that type of hubs. Hope this helps.
