How much power can be gotten from a 1070 with a 504 in it wanting to biuld a illinois hot farm stock tractor. Rules are stock rpm and pump one turbo.

Change the heads to Case 2670 or 2870 heads. They had a 504 also. These heads have bigger valves for better breathing. Also use the injectors and fuel lines from the 2670 or 2870. Add the intercooler from the 2670 or 2870 if the rules allow this. With a little twist of the pump you should be around 475 to 500. I have a friend who did this to a 1370, then had the cam ground and turned his rpms to 3800. The dyno at the Ford dealership checked 500 hp and it would still turn 3800 rpms pulling 500! I'm not sure what all weight classes he pulled in but I have an old picture somewhere that has the tractor with 99 weights on it. It weighed 21,000 lbs. like that.
