Was interested in hearing everyones thoughts on how narrow or wide to set their rear wheels for pulling. I thought it might make an interesting discussion.

The best setting would be slightly wider than the sled pan, but this isn't practical for hauling purposes. If you could run this wide, there wouldn't be any dirt to drag in front of the sled. Most guys around here run them as narrow as possible. I've heard some say that the narrow setting pulls straighter.

I run mine narrower, just because at many of the tracks I pull at seem to have a crown in them like a paved road would. So the pan on the sled runs the top of the crown creating less drag and I don't loose drawbar height, like I would if it was spread way with the track coming up in the middle.
