I was looking at an International 24' rollback (33000GVW) and wondered how it would work hauling 2 narrow front tractors facing each other (staggered a little). I'm thinking I would have to load one, tilt the bed up, chain the tractor down, tilt the bed back down and load the other one. I now have two tractors and need to either upgrade to a heavy pickup and gooseneck or the rollback. My tractors weigh about 11,000lbs together. I was just wondering what you guys have had the best luck with.

I have also done both. First with a ton chevy and a gooseneck then with a 4700 int with a bevertail bed. I liked the gooseneck better, but the chevy only had a 350 and i was hauling for a small independant shop. One day they sent me out for a 2096 Case fwd the way back was mostly flat with one hill I had my foot in the fan blades to make the hill and all I could do was 40mph. I could see that it was tearing the truck up. The next week I got the Intnational. I know what you mean about a pick-up not being enough. The new deisels may have enough power but the drive line and brakes a no where near the size of the International, and the International is much cheaper.I bought my International 4700 for 11,000 it now is set up for a gooseneck. Unfortunatly I moved to New York State there are not as many farms here let alone shops that need hauling done so the truck is for sale. Good luck what ever you choose Tom

kman,Ditto to advice CASEPOWER has given you.I worked for a tractor dealer several yrs. and a rollback is not near as stable as a GN.I don't ever care to haul anything tall on a rollback again.I did before GN were thought of in the 60's.Since then have hauled tractors and combines on GN and 18 wheeler.Jim B

I have a rollback and a gooseneck and I perfer the gooseneck for hauling tractors. The rollback has single axle and dual wheel and seems to get alot of body roll when cornering because of the narrow truck frame and the tractors up very heigh. A gooseneck is more stable and the more tires you have on the ground the better brakes you have that is as long as there all brake axles. I hauled for years with a rollback and just recently bought the trailer now I can't do without the gooseneck and will never go back to a bumper pull trailer. But like the rollback for dragging the non-running one on..
