How far can you take one of these big JD's. Do they have stroker cranks ,Larger rods...? I hear of people useing 4020 rods w/ stroker cranks on JD "G",just haven't heard much about the BIG 2-cylinders. Thanks Y'all. Bruce.....

More power in a low restriction exhaust & intake. Extrude hone the intake/heads/exhaust & get Albert to add fuel with modified 13mm pumps & injectors. Cam grinding can assist as well. $$$ with more rpm plus bore/sleeve & stroke with lighter/stronger Cunningham rods next.

Had a fellow tell me that you can only stroke them a little due to interferance with the steering rod going through the crank case. But, I don't see why you couldn't get away with an offset grind and 720 diesel rods to get an extra 1/2" of stroke (that is if 820 and 720 rods are the same length). I just started reasearching this myself. Eric

hey eric. only a half inch more stroke isn't cost effective. a good running 820 WILL put out 90 - 100 hp. ( new pistons & rings- fresh overrrrr rbore) ifyou can't get 90 hp you need a fresh overhaul. later richard
