I found out today that one of the local pullers who is not a NATPA member but went up to Murray to pull anyway had his tractor inspected and passed sunday morning(goot the inspection sticker to go with it too) for Div II. Then after he won 2 classes the same official who passed his tractor disqualified him. Official reason was for his aluminum fuel tank which is illegal in Div II but should have been pretty dang obvious during the inspection. The good news is that after dq ing him they told him that he was pulling exhibition instead of competition and still didn't refund his money. (Before too many people gripe the officials did tell him they would let him pull Div II this time but to either have the tank removed or go up to Div III next time. He did offer to pull Div III but was told he wouldn't have to.) He did however have to put the stock steering wheel back on, take the tach off and the chrome lug nuts. Wonder if they would have done that if he had not won? Wouldn't it have been alot easier to just put him up in Div III in the first place?

I had the pleasure of experiencing the NATPA's wrath in Wauseon in November and I warned you guys. Murray sounds like it was just as big of mess as Wauseon, but to the other extreme.

When I sent a letter of disgust to Bill Burch about the Wauseon joke, he assured me that Murray would be examplary of NATPA.

Maybe that is why they overcompensated on the rules at Murray.

Personally I don't pull NATPA anymore and have no intention ever too again but here is how I see it. I think it would of been allot easier just to put the tractor in division III in the first place and save all the hassle. Quit being a Chicken S#&% and put it in the class where it belongs. If the guy can't read the rules he should of got someone to read them for him. It is this kind of stuff that ruined all divisions of NATPA. The real problem is NATPA only puts there foot down on division II classes. Guess if they had more board members pulling in division II the rules would be so strict now would they!

I just wanted to know what the fuel tank, chrome lug nuts, and different sterring wheel made this tractor so much better than the rest of the tractors in this class. Its funny that Div 2, and 3 are the money making classes that have speed limits, and rpm limits, and they want to ruin the best part of the natpa if there is a good part!!!

It isn't that they make it pull better although having a fuel pump on one from the front mounted tank might ( i really don't know) The major thing with that class is that it is supposed to look outwardly stock with the exception of wheelie bars, chrome exhaust, and weight brackets.
