The LP distributors from the first numbered series (50,60,70, etc.) will bolt on any styled letter series as long as it has a long lug in the back. The advantage to the LP distributor is that it only fires on the compression where as the regular distributor from a letter series fires on both compression and exhaust. I changed my G from a magnito to a 70 LP distributor with a MSD 6A box and a Blaster 2 coil. I noticed some difference in power, but the biggest difference is in how fast the tractor starts now. I pulled all season on one set of plugs, and they look as good as they did when they were new.
