There was a question on page four about use'ing helium in tires to lighten up.I can't see how this could possibly work given the difference in volume.I don't even think the pressure would be I guess you'ed say interchangable?? I would have to call this cheating if indeed someone has tried it ! Everyone knows what a little air pressure ajustment can do. I'ed be afraid to let the clutch out!!! Just my thoughts on the subject. STEVE

Ambient air at sea level atmospheric weighs about 1.22 ounces per cubic foot. H2 has an S.G. of 0.07 compared to air.

You could try nitrous oxide. If not for the weight advantage, at least you could route tubing throught the frame to the head for a real kick in the pants, oh but then the spinning problem comes back!

I use hydrogen because it's lighter than helium. You do have to put out your cigar before you deflate the tires-if you don't the resulting explosion might make ya spill your beer!

Why don.t you put friction tape on the tires to keep them from spinning????? This would surely help also.....

Remember hot air always rises. It is plentiful in the tractor pulling world. That would lighten a machine up a bit. Only joking folks! I could not resist!

I will weigh-in with helium in my tires then go back to the trailer pull it out and put air in.
No one has question why I talk funny all day at the pulls.
