I have a herc. 339 in a cockshutt 570 s. The fuel is coming out of the exhaust raw liquid. I have checked pressure checked the injectors and they all open between 2850 and 2900. Is this close enough? or do they have to all be exactly the same? I have compression checked the motor and that seems just fine also. It has an American Bosch pump on it. Does anyone have any thoughts or help?

Stephen

What is the compression reading? Have you checked the injectors spray pattern? What about injection pump timing? Cam timing? What color is the exhaust with the engine loaded and idling? Too much fuel for a natuarally aserated engine? How is the valve lash set? Is your cam okay or did you loose a lobe? Just a couple of things to think about.

Good Luck,
A.P.
