Does anyone know how low you can get a D-17 down to? I will be stripping all hydralics and replacing rear cover that holds lift and pto with aluminum cover. I am also going to 34" pressed steel wheels and 16.9 tires. Is 3500# realistic?

I was going to do the same thing with my D17 but it take alot of alumuim to go 3500#.there is a guy in ill.that has one and he starts at 4000#. A freind of mine pulls in NATPA and was going to buy my tractor.he thought it would take alumium wheels and all the aluimum you could put on it to run 3500# class.I built a set of 28in pressed rims
i have all hyd.lift.and no weights it weights 4000#.
