Speaking as a Moline guy, I love to hear the thumping of a giant Deere motor. I can't answer your question, but I will say I love any big D, R, 80, 820, or 830 out there. What a soothing sound even when they are crankin some serious horses. Same for a MM G or GB. I have some puller tires for a big tractor of that type if you know anyone interested. Is your Deere a diesel? Don't let the Oliver guys pick on you. Yes, CAT motors are awesome. No, don't trade that 820 in for one.

The only reason we pick on JD guys is because that's our biggest competition in the big classes. I've always loved Olivers but it is pretty amazing to see an old two cylinder up there in them bigger classes.

Oh yeah I'll tell you how to get down the track and keep your R's up. Step 1 back up to the sled.
Step 2 hook chain to tractor. Step 3 you put it in gear. Step 4 you probably thought I was going to say run it up full and shove the clutch forward thats where your wrong. Well auctally step 4 is screw off the gas cap and drive a 2255 under it.

Ya know like a 2255. You'll never go back to an old putt putt putt putt once you here the roar of a V8 cat. Then you'll really be winning the big classes.

Hey Mr.820 puller! First of all I agree with Barry! If your 820 is winning the 15,000 than that is a darn good running tractor. Our friend has an 820 that he pulls 9500-13000 and he power out in the 13000. My friends grandpa has either an 820 or an 80. I don't remember. It would probably be for sale for the right price. Well then again their is some dumb little kid that thinks he is going to restore it for an FFA project. Though I'm trying to get him to restore his LA. It would be a lot easier project.

Great idea, it's certainly easier to build big power in a Case LA than an 820 anyway ;-)

No.1, If you've got a 820 that wins in the 15000 that would be a darn good tractor around here. But, what I don't understand, if you are already winning with it, why change it and risk screwing up an already good setup?

Why do you need more cylinders when just one 820 cylinder is big enough to deep fry a turkey in. Ha ha. Keep pullin.
